General motors news; the automobiles are resold in a short amount of time, the warranties won’t be transferrable. How will the customers react?
Hummer EV
The GMC Hummer EV, a sought-after, low-volume car, has been resold for astronomical sums as supply cannot keep up with demand. This year’s Hummer EV model starts at $112,595, but some scarcely driven specimens have sold for over $250,000, including one that fetched $324,500 at a recently held auction.
Chevrolet And Cadillac
Respectively, it’s a good time to get ahead of the problem since Chevrolet and Cadillac are about to unveil high-performance models with MSRPs of $106,395 and $149,990.
In a letter to dealers, GM North America President Steve Carlisle warned that would cancel warranties if the cars are resold within the first 12 months after delivery.

Positive feedback: “The customer experience suffers and GM’s brands are tarnished when automobiles are swiftly resold, especially by unregistered dealers or other resellers who do not conform to GM’s standards,” the letter adds.
As Carlisle points out, dealers will also be prohibited from putting orders and reservations on “certain high-demand models” in the future.
