Xiaomi 14 Series Launch Date Confirmed For October 26

Xiaomi has officially announced the launch date of its 14 series phones. The launch will take place on Thursday, October 26, at 7 p.m. Beijing time. The Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit on October 24 will unveil the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU for the Xiaomi 14 series.

Xiaomi has revealed that the 14 series will employ Leica Summilux lenses. Xiaomi smartphones will feature Leica Summilux lenses for the first time. Xiaomi’s previous flagship smartphones, the 12/13 series and the 12S Ultra concept phone, used Leica Summicron lenses.

Xiaomi may offer two smartphones in the Xiaomi 14 series: the 14 and the 14 Pro. Renders show the Pro model’s flat display, a change from its predecessor’s curved edge. It sports quad cameras instead of Xiaomi 13 Pro’s triple cameras.

Xiaomi 14 Series HyperOS and Collaboration with Leica

HyperOS is a highlight of the Xiaomi 14 series. This OS should offer a new and smooth experience. Xiaomi also worked with Leica to create a variable aperture camera for high-quality photographs.

Xiaomi 14 Series Specifications (Expected)

The Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro will debut at the event. Both phones have Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets for speed. Another model, possibly the Ultra, may join the family later. Black, white, or green are the color options. Xiaomi 14 will also come in pink. The Xiaomi 14 Pro offers 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage for additional power and storage.

Smartphone charging is essential. The Xiaomi 14 Pro supports 120W charging, while the Xiaomi 14 supports 90W. Both phones will have square rear cameras. However, the cameras will look slightly different. Previous rumors indicate that the Xiaomi 14 will include a 6.44-inch Huaxing C8 OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Pro model could include a 6.6-inch 2K flat AMOLED 2.5D display with 120Hz refresh rate. Both versions may use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. We expect Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship chipset at the Snapdragon Summit this week.

Three rear cameras—a 50-megapixel OV50H primary camera with OIS—are expected. Xiaomi 14 will include a 4,600mAh battery, 90W cable charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. A 4,860mAh battery, 120W wired fast charging, and 50W wireless charging are expected in the Xiaomi 14 Pro.
